I'm going to Perth; Australia from July - November & would like advice!?

I'll be in Perth; Australia from July- November; possibly December. I don't feel like I know much about the city so maybe someone can help me? #NAME? -are there places that are 'musts' to visit? #NAME? -how much is transportation (within the city and to get to other cities like Sydney)? -is it easy to meet other people? where would you go to meet new people in their 20s? -is there a lot of outdoors activities (hiking; swimming; surfing; etc)? #NAME? Basically I just want to get as much info as possible; so tell me anything interesting; even if I didn't ask about it! Thanks = )

It would be winter and spring during that time so get ready for some cold weather and winter activities. Pack up your winter wears before travelling.
